We believe following Jesus is more than believing—it is becoming.
As we behold Christ, we discover who we are in Him. As we yield our lives to Him, we are transformed into His likeness. And as we become more like Him, we are sent—into our families, churches, workplaces, neighborhoods and communities carrying His life and love.
This is the heart of Rendered Powerful.
“Christ in you, the hope of glory.” — Colossians 1:27 NKJV
Love came to restore what was lost. Love doesn’t give up, it keeps pursuing.
THE MANDATE: MOBILIZE MISSION AMERICA
What if the mission field is closer than we think?
Across America there are communities, neighborhoods and people who need the hope of Christ. Some will never walk through the doors of a church. Others may know Christ but have never discovered who they are in Him or understood that they, too, have been called to participate in His mission.
Mobilize Mission America is the mandate that moves Rendered Powerful beyond teaching people simply to
know more—to equipping and mobilizing them to live what they believe.
We want to see disciples awakened to their identity in Christ, strengthened in their faith, connected to the
Body of Christ, and prepared to carry His presence into their own spheres of influence.
Mission is not reserved for those who cross an ocean.
There is a mission field across the street.
There is a mission field in our workplaces.
There is a mission field in our neighborhoods and communities.
And there are places throughout America where people need someone willing to see them, walk alongside them, serve them and carry the love of Jesus to them.
We believe the Church is not only gathered. The Church is sent.
Mobilize Mission America is our response to that conviction.
Jesus is the ultimate gift to mankind; history changed, hope was restored and love overcame.
BEHOLD. BECOME. BE SENT.
This is the discipleship pathway at the heart of Rendered Powerful.
BEHOLD.
We begin with Christ.
Before asking, “What should I do?” we learn to ask, “Who am I beholding?”
As we see Jesus more clearly, we begin to understand who we are in Him.
BECOME.
Discipleship is transformation, not simply information.
We allow the Holy Spirit to renew our minds, refine our hearts and teach us what it means to live yielded to
Christ.
The question becomes:
Who am I becoming?
BE SENT.
What God develops within us was never intended to remain within us.
We are equipped to serve, love, disciple, encourage and carry the presence of Christ into the places where God
has already positioned us.
We behold Him.
We become more like Him.
And then—we go.
Love came to repair, restore and rebuild that which was stolen.
IGNITE
Identity. Discipleship. Mission.
IGNITE is a primary expression of the teaching and discipleship ministry of Rendered Powerful.
It is designed to help believers understand their identity in Christ, establish strong foundations of faith, grow as
present-day disciples of Jesus, become engaged in the life of their local church, and recognize that they have
been sent into a sphere of influence uniquely their own.
IGNITE is not simply about completing a class.
It is about igniting disciples who will live as disciples.
COMPASSION PROJECTS
Seeing people. Honoring dignity. Demonstrating His love.
Being sent also means learning to see.
Jesus noticed people others passed by. He moved toward need with compassion, dignity and love.
Our Compassion Projects provide opportunities to do the same—coming alongside individuals, families and
communities with practical expressions of Christ’s love.
FACES OF HATTIE
Faces of Hattie grew from one encounter that became a lasting reminder:
We cannot always see someone’s vulnerability simply by looking at them.
Through Faces of Hattie, we seek to come alongside housed individuals and families living on marginal incomes
who may be at risk of losing the stability they have worked to maintain.
We may not be able to solve homelessness, but we can help prevent someone from becoming houseless.
We can see.
We can respond.
We can love.
Love came to heal the sick, the broken heart, cast out demons, raise the dead and cleanse lepers.
